The mission of the International Constitution Center (ICC) is fulfilled by two (2) divisions each working in tandem; the Education Center which primarily serves the scholars and practitioners of constitutional design, development and modification, and the Museum Division area which serves the public by a modest yet growing schedule of permanent and travelling exhibitions.

The education center is a physical space that offers a combination of both year- round academic study and periodic symposia on the topics selected by the members set in a location offering security, international access, and an educational infrastructure conducive to quiet and genuine research.

The Lugano site was selected because it represents a perfect bridge that connects the Mediterranean Europe to North Europe; and offers both easy access for worldly visitation and a quiet refuge for diligent scholarship. Lugano is the most important town in Switzerland which is also situated on the shores of a beautiful lake and is located in the alpine Canton of Ticino, serving as a gateway to several important alpine passes. The city is within easy reach from the southern airport in Milan, east from Geneva, and north from Zurich.

Local Universities
Trains from Milan to Lugano run hourly and take 1 1/2 hours one way. Because of its cross-roads location it has been an important trading point for centuries and the travel and accommodation infrastructure can support the envisioned activities. With the advent of the opening of the new Gotthard Base Tunnel, we expect access to the future International Constitution Center will be enhanced.

Discover Lugano
Lugano faces the south bay of the cerulean blue Lago di Lugano and possesses some of the most beautiful lakeside infrastructure. Besides this, the city is framed on all sides by wooded, sugar-loaf-shaped hills rising from the water that are popularly called the “Rio of the Old World. The city has been deeply influenced by Italian culture as it is displayed in the language spoken and the food eaten, yet its accommodations are definitely Swiss. It is envisioned that the structure be located to work in tandem with both the current University structures in Lugano, and also the civil structures, in a location that affords safety, ease of access, and professional support services.
